"What makes a good exam. Key principles of language assessment and their practical application in modern language exams".
The sessions explores such fundamental principles of language testing as validity, reliability, impact and practicality and identifies similarities of all modern language exams - both international national ones. The presenter will also provide a detailed description of various types of tests and exams developed by Pearson.Anna Gorizontova graduated from Moscow State University (1984) and got her PhD in History in 1990 (Institute of Slavonic and Balkan Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences). She published over 40 research papers on medieval history of Central and Eastern Europe. Since 1997 she has been working in educational business. Anna Gorizontova headed the Representative Office of Pearson Education in Russia (2000-2008) and worked as the Regional Manager for Eastern Europe and Central Asia for Cambridge English Language Assessment (2011-2018). Since April 2018 she occupies the position of Deputy General Director in Language.Prosveshcneniye LLC - joint venture between Prosveshcheniye Publishing House and Pearson.

На мастер-классе участники смогут поработать на платформе MyEnglishLab издательства Pearson в качестве студента, увидят, какие возможности предоставляет платформа для формирования и мониторинга развития ВСЕХ видов речевой деятельности и языковой грамотности обучающихся и познакомятся с функционалом преподавателя и/или администратора курса (инструменты наблюдения, диагностики, персонализации и т.д.)Школа будет работать два дня (30 и 31 января), работа будет проходить на английском языке, участники получат на завершении сертификаты от Ассоциаций-организаторов.
